This is a graphite drawing, a typical head and shoulders portrait, it does have much more detail than is shown here. The subject is my own dog, a three year old english cocker spaniel. The drawing is done from a black and white photo that is also a piece of my work.

This is the black and white photo that I used as my subject for the above protrait. It turned out a little darker, after scanning it, than I had hoped. This photo is a perfect example of a good photograph to work from. It shows the whole body, it is focused and it is very detailed. |
